Memberships are invited from the
music loving public, players, teachers, schools, bands, music companies
and musical instrument manufacturers. Membership is available only
to people over 18 years of age.
These memberships will help fund the awards, provide
the trophies and will be totally devoted to the encouragement of
fiddle playing by all ages, in all forms of musical expression.
The Golden Fiddle Awards is a not-for-profit limited
liability company, run by volunteers. The foundation directors,
Marcus Holden, Andrew Clermont and Mark Mitchell are paid
no directors fees and will never draw an income or dividends from
the Awards.
Potential members are welcome to
read the Constitution of this not-for-profit organisation. It is
a large PDF.

Uniting fiddlers of all persuasions in one great common bond
The first national awards
system embracing all musical styles, which focuses on nuturing,
supporting and rewarding the wealth of violin playing, performance
and composing talent in Australia and New Zealand
There are two ways to get involved in this grand musical venture.
1 Become a member
2 Nominate yourself or someone else for one of the seven award
categories
The Articles of Association say that all Awards
nominees must be financial Members of the Golden Fiddle Awards.
As an incentive to involvement, in this inaugural year, everyone
who nominates will automatically become a member once they pay
the nomination fee.
The only exception to this Article will be those
nominated for Category 5, the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Membership benefits
- Access to the awards
- Newsletter
- Recognition of support to the Awards
- Personal satisfaction that you have done your bit to foster
a love of music in all age groups
- For corporate sponsors, there is the opportunity to capitalise
on Membership of these Awards through your advertising, marketing
and Public Relations programs.
